In the United States, three men were convicted of murdering a schoolgirl.

In Florida, a court has sentenced three men in the case of the brutal murder of a 17-year-old schoolgirl, two of them will serve life sentences. This was reported on March 13 by the Tampa Bay Times newspaper.

According to the publication, the incident occurred in 2023. Initially, the deceased contacted the police with a statement about the rape of her sister's lover. The man found out about this and left for another state, where he came up with a plan for revenge.

"Being out of state, <...> [the man] organized the murder. He posted a message on social media saying he needed to "cover his tracks." He offered $5,000. [for your help]," the publication says.

It is specified that the man's cousin and another person went to the case. They came to the schoolgirl's house, wounded her mother and sister with small arms, and also killed the girl herself.

As the newspaper noted, all the criminals were detained. One of them was sentenced to 17 years in prison, the other two to life in prison.

At least ten people died as a result of the incident.

On March 12, FBI Director Cash Patel announced that there had been a shooting at a synagogue in Michigan. The Jewish Federation of Detroit on social media called on all members of the community not to approach the area where the incident occurred. According to CNN, at least 30 law enforcement officers were injured in the incident.
