The US Treasury has suspended the sale of oil and petroleum products from the Russian Federation for a month.

The United States allowed the purchase of oil and petroleum products from Russia, which were loaded onto ships as of March 12. This was announced on March 12 on the website of the US Treasury.

"The Office of Foreign Assets Control of the United States Department of the Treasury (OFAC) issues general license No. 134 associated with Russia, authorizing the supply and sale of crude oil and petroleum products of Russian origin loaded onto ships as of March 12, 2026," the publication says.
