The Formula 1 Grand Prix scheduled for April in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia will be canceled due to the ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran. This was reported on March 13 by the BBC TV channel, citing sources.

The race was scheduled to take place in Bahrain from April 10 to 12, and then in Jeddah from April 17 to 19. As a result of the changes in the calendar, the championship will be reduced to 22 stages. The official confirmation of the decision will be made before the end of next week.

According to the TV channel, Formula 1 will lose about £ 100 million due to the cancellation of the races, as Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are among the countries with the highest fees for hosting the Grand Prix.

It is noted that the organizers considered the possibility of transferring the races to Portugal, Italy and Turkey, but abandoned this idea, considering that due to lack of time it would be difficult to organize competitions and receive the necessary payment for the championship.

On March 11, the Iranian national team refused to participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Minister of Sports of the Islamic Republic, Ahmad Donyamali, said that thousands of civilians died as a result of attacks by the United States and Israel, and "two wars were imposed on Iran."

The next day, US President Donald Trump said that the Iranian national team could participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but this was inappropriate.
