Rosatom announced assistance to the investigation in the Vikhansky case
On March 13, the Rosatom State Corporation announced cooperation with the investigation into the case of Nikolai Vikhansky, who is leading the construction project for unit 5 of the Beloyarsk NPP.
"The competent authorities are conducting investigative actions against Nikolai Vikhansky, and they are receiving the necessary assistance," ASE representative Nina Dementsova told TASS.
The company stressed that they provide all necessary support to law enforcement agencies that are investigating the case of bribery.
Earlier in the day, Vikhansky, Vice President for Capital Construction at Atomstroyexport, was arrested in Moscow on charges of accepting bribes. A criminal case has been opened against him under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receiving a bribe by an official on an especially large scale").
