The group "Roots" covered the song "Just love" for the tribute album "Lube"
On March 13, the Russian band "Roots" recorded a cover version of the song "Just Love" for the tribute album "Lube 35. Everything is starting again" by the Lube Group.
The song was released in 2015 in the album "For You, Motherland!" and was originally a collaboration between artists from the Igor Matvienko production center and the In2Nation group for the film "August. The eighth."
In the original, the song united two generations of the same music school, connected by a common producer Igor Matvienko. Thanks to the contrast of voices and images, a balance of male lyrics and the romance of youth was achieved. Now "Just Love" has been re-recorded by "Roots" solo.
"It's a great song, catchy. If you look at our analytics in streaming services, it is often listened to and loved. We left the song practically unchanged, as it is good in itself," said Dmitry Pakulichev, the lead singer of the Roots group.
On March 6, musician and Honored Artist of Russia Alexey Glyzin performed the song "On the Outside" by the Lyube group. The author of the words, poet Mikhail Andreev, said that the song was written in Siberia, and the lines about courage and repentance were born under the influence of the snowy expanses.
Honored Artist of Russia, musician and composer Nikolai Parfenyuk also sang the song "You Forgive me, Mom" for the tribute album "Lyube" on February 20. The song was released on the third studio album "Lube Zone" in 1994. Poet Alexander Shaganov, who wrote the lyrics to Igor Matvienko's music, called the song deeply personal.
