British musician Labrinth spoke sharply about his work on the popular TV series Euphoria and stated that he was disappointed with the music industry. The artist wrote on social media that he was "done with this industry" and no longer intended to participate in the project. All the details are in the Izvestia article.

The conflict over Euphoria

Labrinth became the author of the musical accompaniment and several songs for the first two seasons of the HBO series Euphoria. However, in a new publication, the musician stated that he was distancing himself from the project.

In his message, he criticized the series itself, as well as the Columbia Records label, which releases the soundtrack.

"I'm done with this industry. I'm leaving. Thank you and good night," the artist wrote on his Instagram account (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

What exactly caused the conflict between the musician, the studio and the creators of the series has not yet been clarified. Representatives of HBO and Columbia Records have not publicly commented on the situation.

The music that defined the style of the series

Labrinth's music has become one of the hallmarks of Euphoria. His atmospheric compositions accompanied the key scenes of the series and received high critical acclaim.

The song All For Us, recorded with actress Zendaya, won the musician the Primetime Emmy Award for Best Original Music and lyrics. Another track, Still Don't Know My Name, went viral on social media and gained hundreds of millions of listens on streaming services.

The series Euphoria, created by director Sam Levinson, tells about the lives of American teenagers and raises the themes of addiction, relationships and the search for identity. The project also helped launch or strengthen the careers of actors such as Sidney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi and Hunter Schaefer.

Earlier it was reported that famous composer Hans Zimmer will join the work on the third season of the series. He was supposed to create music for the project with Labrinth. In 2025, the musician spoke positively about the collaboration.

The premiere of the third season of the series is scheduled for April 12. According to the creators, the plot will unfold several years after the events of the previous seasons.

Career and major hits

Labrinth began his musical career in the early 2010s. He became widely known for his collaboration with British rapper Tinie Tempah on the track Pass Out, which topped the British charts and won an award at the Brit Awards.

Later, the artist released a number of popular songs, including Let The Sun Shine, Earthquake and Beneath Your Beautiful, recorded with singer Emily Sande.

In 2019, Labrinth also created the LSD music project together with Sia and Diplo. Their song Thunderclouds gained worldwide popularity and topped the charts in a number of countries.

Despite the musician's loud statement about his desire to leave the industry, it is still unclear whether this means the final completion of his work on new projects. Fans of the artist hope that he will continue his career and present new musical works.
