Dmitriev called Merz a specialist in the destruction of Germany
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is an expert on the destruction of his country and its economy. This was announced on March 13 by Kirill Dmitriev, head of the special representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
Accordingly, he commented on the speech of the German Chancellor, during which he spoke out against the US decision to ease sanctions against the Russian Federation.
"Germany is already suffering from a flawed energy policy, but Merz is heading for a complete disaster. Destroying Germany and its economy seems to be his specialty," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
US President Donald Trump said three days earlier that his country would lift sanctions against the oil sector of a number of countries in order to control rising energy prices amid the war in Iran. Some time later, on March 12, the US Treasury Department announced an exception for the sale of Russian oil and petroleum products. The head of this department, Scott Bessent, explained that the withdrawal of oil sales from Russia from US sanctions is aimed at reducing the cost of energy resources on world markets.
Merz, whose plans for Germany's economic development, according to Bloomberg, failed, called what was happening wrong on March 13. He acknowledged the existence of a problem in the market — high prices — but said that despite this, there were allegedly offers.
