The Belarusian crossover has become a bestseller on the Moscow car market
According to the results of the first two months of 2026, the Belarusian crossover Belgee X50 became the most popular new car in Moscow. It turned out to be the sales leader with 1,226 copies, which is 123% more than in January-February last year. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this on March 13 in his Telegram channel.
In second place was the Chery Arrizo 8 sedan (807 units; +787%). Next on the list are Haval Jolion, Tenet T7 and Geely Monjaro. Tenet T4, Mazda CX-5, Zeekt 9X, Toyota Highlander and Geely Atlas rounded out the top 10.
In just two months, almost 20.6 thousand new passenger cars were registered in Moscow. This is 6.5% more than in the same period last year. At the same time, the car market in Russia as a whole decreased by 3.9%. According to Tselikov, taxi companies have become the driver of growth in the capital, which began updating cars on the eve of the new localization law, which entered into force on March 1. While legal entities accounted for 13% of the market in Russia as a whole, in Moscow they accounted for 23%.
The expert also noted that a quarter of all car sales in Moscow came from premium brands and only 0.3% from luxury brands. He drew attention to the high interest of Muscovites in the new Chinese Zeekr 9X hybrid and the absence of Lada models in the top ten.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the new Belgee X50+ crossover will enter the Russian market in three performance levels. The X50 model, which has been relatively well-known in the Russian Federation since 2024, has expanded the list of crossover equipment with technological options that increase the overall level of safety and comfort.
