A man and his four-year-old son froze to death in the taiga of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This was reported on March 13 in the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"According to preliminary data, on March 7, 2026, a man and his son drove their car with a trailer with a snowmobile into the taiga in the direction of the village of Ekonda and did not return back," the agency wrote on the Telegram channel.

They reached the hunting lodge, making a pass there, and then headed for another building. However, they could not reach it — abandoning the snowmobile, the father and son began to return to the first house and froze on the way.

According to the department, a missing person's report was filed by his employer on March 11. The next day, during the search, the bodies of the victims were found, as well as a snowmobile and a car.

A criminal case has been opened on the fact of causing death by negligence to two persons. The exact circumstances of the death are being investigated.

Three children, a 13-year-old girl, Alina, and two 12—year-old boys, Ivan and Bogdan, disappeared in the Zvenigorod area on March 7. One of the fishermen said that he saw children drowning in the river, but did not inform the emergency services because another witness of the incident called 112.

A source from Izvestia reported on March 11 that rescuers had found the body of one of the children who had disappeared in Zvenigorod. The day before, the head of the Odintsovo district, Andrei Ivanov, said that the search for three missing children in Zvenigorod was underway around the clock, and the Odintsovo District administration was providing maximum support. Prior to that, it was reported that almost 500 people took part in the search for children.

A criminal case has been opened into the disappearance of the teenagers. The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, requested a report on the investigation. Andrey Chernov, coordinator of the LizaAlert search and rescue team, told Izvestia on March 9 that the dramatic warming and strong river changes had complicated the search for missing children.
