In Yakutia, 32 km of roadway should be put in proper condition by the end of 2026. Work within the framework of the national project "Infrastructure for Life" will be carried out on the roads "Mukhtuya", "Umnas" and the access road from the road "Nam" to the Kangalassy microdistrict.

The press service of the Republican Highway Administration of YakutiaMedia news agency reported that a 20-km section of the Mukhtuya road in the Lena region will be completed to improve communication between the cities of Lensk and Mirny. This road is very important for residents of Western Yakutia and enterprises of the diamond mining and oil and gas industries.

In addition, it is planned to complete the overhaul of the entrance to the Kangalassy neighborhood. This is necessary to ensure comfortable travel and communication between Yakutsk and the Kangalassy Industrial Park.

Thanks to the reconstruction of the Umnas highway from 20 to 28 km, a four-lane section of the road will be created in 2028. The work is being carried out taking into account the construction of a bridge across the Lena River and a possible increase in traffic flow. As a result, Yakutsk will have a year-round land connection to the Russian regions with access to the Lena federal highway.

Earlier it was reported that the implementation of the large logistics project "Eastern Meridian" will begin in Yakutia in 2026. This is a key infrastructure initiative that promotes the development of promising fields. It is aimed at increasing the profitability of the region's raw materials projects and optimizing the cargo delivery scheme.
