The average salary of Russians increased by 13.5% in 2025. This was announced on March 13 by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov.

"The incomes of our citizens have been steadily growing throughout the year. According to Rosstat, the average salary increased by 13.5%, and the real salary increased by 4.4%," said the head of the department at the final board of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection at the National Center "Russia".

He also noted that unemployment was recorded at a historically low level of 2.2%. Kotyakov said that in 2025, the cost of living and related payments, including a single benefit, are indexed above the inflation rate.

Social benefits for veterans and people with disabilities have been increased in line with the actual price increase, and pension indexation for working pensioners has been resumed. The Minister stressed that all social obligations were fulfilled on time and in full.

Earlier, on March 10, it became known that the average salaries of employees of non-governmental pension funds and money intermediaries in December 2025 exceeded 500 thousand rubles. It was noted that they received 516.6 thousand rubles, and money intermediaries — 515.3 thousand rubles.
