- More than 60 countries have confirmed their participation in the International Transport and Logistics Forum
The event will take place on April 1-3 in St. Petersburg. The forum focuses on the development of international transport and logistics corridors, strengthening integration ties within international associations, discussing issues of digitalization of the industry and the use of unmanned technologies, and adapting transport education to the requirements of modern times. In addition, the issue of coordinating efforts in creating a unified regulatory framework for the rapid and transparent functioning of the global transport system remains important.
"In modern conditions, the interest of the international community in the forum is very high. To date, representatives of relevant ministries and departments from more than 60 countries have confirmed their participation in the event. Among them are not only key partners such as the Republic of Belarus, China and India, but also countries in Africa, Asia and the Arab world. More than 25 foreign ministers have already confirmed their participation, as well as representatives of international transport organizations and businesses. I am confident that the forum will become an important platform in the calendar of the global transport community and will contribute to strengthening transport connectivity between the countries of the global majority, contributing to their prosperity and strengthening," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the MTLF.
The business agenda of the International Transport and Logistics Forum will cover not only issues of global cooperation in the transport sector and its regulation, but also the development of all sectors of transport through the introduction of new technologies and products aimed at ensuring comfort, speed and safety in freight and passenger transportation, and the development of infrastructure along major international transport corridors.
"The event will be attended by representatives of large Russian and international businesses: manufacturers and developers of the latest transport solutions, transport and logistics companies, experts in the field of logistics and infrastructure. More than 250 Russian and more than 40 foreign companies from more than 20 countries, including China, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Turkey, and Kyrgyzstan, have already confirmed their participation in the MTLF," said Andrey Nikitin, Minister of Transport.
The International Transport and Logistics Forum will be held in Russia for the first time. It will contribute to the implementation of the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation to ensure the global competitiveness of national transport corridors, including the implementation of decrees within the framework of national goals until 2030 with a view to 2036.
