Peskov explained the restriction of the Internet in Russia by security measures

Restrictions on mobile communications in Russia will remain in place for as long as it takes to ensure the safety of citizens. This was announced on March 11 by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"All actions are carried out in strict accordance with the adopted laws. If we ask how long these actions will last, as long as additional measures are needed to ensure the safety of our citizens," he said.

According to him, the measures introduced are being implemented within the framework of current legislation.
