Russians who deliberately harm their health need to increase their contributions under the Compulsory Health Insurance system (CHI). This was announced on March 11 by the head of the All-Russian Union of Insurers (VSS) Evgeny Ufimtsev.
He added that at the same time, the basic package of medical services should remain free for everyone. In addition, Ufimtsev recalled that in the Russian Federation, employers pay insurance premiums from the Social Fund of Russia for their employees, from where they then pay for medical services.
