Russian private Sergei Yarashev, who had been holding positions alone for 68 days, rudely responded to calls from the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to surrender. This was announced on March 11 by the deputy commander of the brigade, Major Vadim Pozdnyakov, in a video published by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"Our guy sent them far, far away in Russian. During the shootout, he destroyed two more opponents, and they rolled away. After that, of course, they started throwing FVP and artillery in there en masse," said the deputy commander.
