Patrushev discussed measures to support agriculture at the meeting
The development of agricultural engineering was discussed on March 11 at a meeting led by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev. The participants discussed issues of stimulating demand for agricultural machinery, measures to support its manufacturers, as well as plans to produce combine harvesters, tractors and self-propelled sprayers.
According to Patrushev, spring field work has started in Russia, which has already covered 14 regions of the country. The pace is ahead of last year's figures. At the same time, one of the most important components for successful implementation is agricultural machinery in the required volume and at affordable prices. The national project "Technological provision of food security" is aimed at this, among other things.
"The Ministry of Industry and Trade, with the involvement of the Ministry of Agriculture and industry enterprises, are creating samples of modern Russian equipment. First of all, these are positions with a traditionally high share of imports. In addition to the activities of the national project, the government offers state support measures that increase the availability of domestic equipment. In particular, these are preferential leasing and preferential loans. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rosagroleasing are also creating a network of machine technology companies. In fact, they make it possible to rent equipment for specific tasks at the right time. This guarantees its full utilization throughout the year and saves farmers money. In addition, a program is being implemented to support leasing companies through preferential loans from DOM.RF," Patrushev stressed.
Preferential programs of Rosagroleasing JSC allow to increase the technical equipment of agricultural enterprises and make advanced agricultural production technologies available to farmers.
"Special attention was paid to modern Russian developments during the meeting. In particular, the first domestic breeding combine was created last year. Currently, work is underway to create a beet harvester. Other projects are being implemented that are aimed at ensuring the serial production of equipment with autopilot elements, which increases labor productivity at agricultural enterprises," said Pavel Kosov, CEO of Rosagroleasing.
Olga Uskova, the company's founder and CEO, said at the end of February that Cognitive Pilot, a Russian developer of artificial intelligence (AI) in agriculture, had entered the top 5 of nine ratings of autopilot systems for agricultural machinery. It is specified that farmers are increasingly using automatic control systems for agricultural machinery, as they help to harvest more crops and cultivate the land more efficiently.
