The average CTP price reached 7.7 thousand rubles in early 2026
The average price of a CTP policy in Russia in the first two months of 2026 increased by 88 rubles to 7,686 rubles. Taking into account short policies, the average price was 4694 rubles. Representatives of the National Insurance Information System (NSIS) announced this in their Telegram channel on March 11.
Taking into account short policies, the number of CTP contracts increased to 8.65 million against 6.73 million a year earlier (an increase of 1.3 times). At the same time, the total premium decreased to 40.59 billion rubles against almost 47 billion rubles a year earlier (a decrease of 14%).
Excluding short—term CTP policies, the total number of contracts amounted to 5.19 million (a decrease of 16%), the total premium was 39.88 billion rubles (a decrease of 15%).
The number of short policies amounted to 3.46 million (an increase of six times), the total premium on them reached 710.5 million rubles (an increase of four times), while the average premium decreased by 30% to 205 rubles. The share of short-term policies in the two months of 2026 was 40%, while in 2025 it was only 8%.
The share of premiums for short-term CTP contracts to total CTP fees in January-February was 2%. Almost all vehicles for which short policies are issued are used in taxis (the share is 99.87%).
The day before, it was reported that the State Duma Committee on State Construction and Legislation recommended the adoption in the second reading of a bill determining that drivers will be fined no more than once a day for the absence of a valid CTP agreement.
