The date of the International Youth Legal Forum has been set

The International Youth Legal Forum (MMIEF-2026) will be held on June 26 this year at the Expoforum Exhibition Center (St. Petersburg).

MMUF will focus on practical issues of the legal profession, modern areas of legal work and professional development opportunities for young professionals.

The forum will bring together students, young lawyers, teachers and representatives of the professional community.

The key areas of the Youth Day will be: popularization of legal professions, topical issues of international law, protection of traditional spiritual and moral values, modern penitentiary system and its humanization, professional start and development of a legal career in the regions.

"The Youth Legal Forum is a unique event that becomes a point of attraction for young lawyers and annually gathers hundreds of students, specialists, as well as representatives of scientific organizations and teaching staff to share experiences, professional growth, and introduce new ideas and projects into the country's law enforcement practice. MMUF-2026 will become a platform for dialogue and the creation of new projects that contribute to the further development of law in Russia and the world," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.

A special focus this year is on practical event formats for students and young professionals. The Forum program will include master classes, workshops, business games and other interactive work formats that will allow young professionals not only to participate in professional discussions, but also to apply knowledge in practice.

The co-organizers and key partners of the International Youth Legal Forum are St. Petersburg State University, the All-Russian State University of Justice (RPA of the Ministry of Justice of Russia), and the O.E. Kutafin Moscow State Law University.

"The Forum gives young lawyers the opportunity to see the profession in its practical dimension. We propose to discuss modern criminology, among other things. Let's talk about new technologies and methods of investigation. These issues will be discussed in a separate session, and an interactive workshop at the forensic testing ground of our St. Petersburg branch will allow participants to apply theoretical knowledge in practice," said Olga Alexandrova, Rector of the Russian State University of Law and Justice.

"The topics that we bring to the Youth Forum reflect current issues of today: the responsibility of international organizations in the face of an obvious crisis in international law, and issues of legal support for the digital industry. A special place will be occupied by a special format event – "The Battle of Russian schools of Law Theory" within the framework of the Alekseevsky Heritage cycle. For young lawyers, this is an opportunity to engage in a serious scientific discussion. We will also continue to discuss the relationship between law and the protection of traditional spiritual and moral values," emphasized Nikolai Kropachev, Rector of St. Petersburg State University.

"The modern development of the state requires reliable legal support for key industries. Therefore, the topic of technological sovereignty and the training of leaders for legal support is becoming one of the key topics for legal education. The Forum gives young professionals the opportunity to see the scale of these tasks and engage in their discussion by the professional community," said Viktor Blazheev, Rector of the Kutafin Moscow State Law University.

The St. Petersburg International Legal Forum was established in 2011 and is supported by the President of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation and the Roscongress Foundation.

The XIV St. Petersburg International Legal Forum will be held from 24 to 26 June 2026 at the Expoforum Exhibition Center (Saint Petersburg).
