The new GAC Aion V crossover will be released in Russia in March.

The launch of sales of the new GAC Aion V electric crossover in Russia is scheduled for March this year. This is the first model of the brand created within the framework of the European development strategy. Its sales have already begun in China and the European Union, the company said in a statement received by Izvestia on March 11. Prices will be announced later.

The length of the GAC Aion V is 4605 mm with a wheelbase of 2775 mm. The trunk volume is 427 liters. The car is built on the new modular Aion Electric Platform (AEP 3.0), developed for electric vehicles. The crossover has an electric motor in the front with a capacity of 204 hp (210 Nm), acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes 7.9 seconds. The company noted that the transport tax on the model is calculated for the maximum 30-minute power of the electric motor (45 kW; 61 hp).

The capacity of the lithium-iron-phosphate battery is 75.26 kWh. It provides a power reserve on a single charge of 580 km (according to the NEDC cycle). For slow AC charging, the Type 2 connector is used (maximum power 11 kW), for direct current charging at fast charging stations, the CCS2 connector (180 kW) is used. In fast charging mode, the charge can be replenished from 10% to 80% in 24 minutes, and from 30% to 80% in 16 minutes.

The list of equipment includes seven airbags, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring systems, lane keeping and warnings when reversing, an all-round camera system, parking sensors, and more. According to the results of tests using the EuroNCAP and ANCAP methods, the crossover received a maximum safety rating of 5 stars. The body color palette includes seven shades, and you can choose from three interior designs.

GAC announced on January 16 that it plans to introduce four models in Russia in 2026, including hybrid crossovers and an electric sports car. In addition to the Aion V and the S7 crossover, the GAC Hyptec HT sports car and the large GAC S9 hybrid crossover will enter the market.
