The decision on the nature of the response to the missile strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Bryansk remains with the military. This was announced on March 11 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

The missile attack on Bryansk by the Ukrainian Armed Forces occurred a day earlier. The governor of the region, Alexander Bogomaz, stressed that the attack was an "inhumane terrorist act" and reported the dead and injured.

"It (the nature of retaliatory measures — Ed.) will be decided by our military," he said, answering a question from RIA Novosti.

Later, Izvestia published footage of the consequences of the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike on Bryansk. A resident of Victoria said that the explosion from the missile strike was so strong that the walls of the buildings shook.

The official representative of the UN chief, Stephane Dujarric, spoke out against attacks on civilians on March 10. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the next day that Russia had questions for the UN secretariat due to the lack of a proper response to attacks by Ukrainian troops on civilian targets in Bryansk.
