A temporary accommodation facility for flood victims is being set up in Tula. He will be accommodated at the Tula Hotel.

Anatoly Maksikov, Minister of Regional Security, told about this at an operational meeting. In addition, it is planned to organize swimming crossings in case transport links are completely disrupted in some localities of the region.

It is expected that this year more than 100 settlements of the region will fall into the flood. The authorities have prepared an individual response plan for each of them.

According to forecasts, the peak flood in the Tula region is expected in the last decade of March. So far, the water level in local rivers does not exceed the norm, TSN24 writes.

On February 9, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev held a meeting on the readiness of relevant departments and subjects of the country to ensure the safety of the flood and fire season. The event was held at the site of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and was a continuation of the work outlined by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council on this issue. In most of the country, except for the southern regions, the amount of precipitation exceeded the norm. At the same time, according to the forecast of the Russian Hydrometeorological Service, sharp temperature spikes are possible in the European part of Russia in early March, which may lead to an increase in water levels in rivers and reservoirs.
