In Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, two catering organizations were fined for dumping sewage into rivers. The total amount of fines amounted to 136 thousand rubles.

According to SakhalinMedia news agency, the establishments organized wastewater disposal from land and premises into the Khristoforovka River and the Pravy Stream. At the same time, wastewater treatment was not provided, and there was no permission from authorized bodies to use water bodies.

Officials have been brought to administrative responsibility in connection with the use of a water protection zone in violation of restrictions and violation of requirements for the protection of water bodies.

In February, a criminal case was opened in Balashikha, Moscow region, on the fact of causing damage to a water body. A study of water samples showed a significant excess of the maximum permissible concentration of harmful substances in fisheries reservoirs on the Vyunka River. As a result, a large number of silver carp died.
