Trump did not ask for a cease-fire in Ukraine in a conversation with Putin
During a telephone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, US President Donald Trump did not demand an immediate cessation of hostilities in Ukraine. This was announced on March 10 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"No, such conditions have not been set, it has been repeatedly discussed," he replied to the question whether the statement by presidential aide Yuri Ushakov about Trump's interest in an early ceasefire meant that the American side again insisted on this as a precondition.
Peskov also said that all aspects related to the ceasefire have been well developed and understood. He also recalled that Putin's consistent position on this issue is well known.
