Russians are expected to have three days off during the May holidays. According to the production calendar published on the website of the government of the Russian Federation, the May holidays in 2026 are divided into two weekend blocks, so Russians expect a total of six non-working days.

The first weekend period will last from Friday, May 1, to Sunday, May 3 inclusive. The second block is from Saturday, May 9th to Monday, May 11th.

Thus, after the working week at the end of April, Russians will be able to rest for three days, then return to work for four days and leave again for a long weekend.

In addition, shortened working days are provided before the holidays. Thus, April 30 will be a shortened working day before the May 1 holiday. It will also be shortened on May 8, on the eve of Victory Day weekend.

A short four-day working week started in Russia on March 10, and residents of the country will work from March 10 to March 13. This is due to the fact that Russians had a rest on March 9th. The day became a weekend, as International Women's Day fell on Sunday, it was postponed a day later.

Residents of Russia can wait for another non-working day on May 11. This is the last day of the second May holidays, it falls on a Monday. In addition, non-working Fridays until the end of 2026 are expected on May 1 and June 12. In addition, Wednesday will be the day off on November 4, and Thursday on December 31.
