US President Donald Trump reacted with the phrase "let's see what happens" to the election of Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as the new supreme leader of Iran. This was announced on March 9 by Fox News anchor Brian Kilmeade after a conversation with the head of the White House.
"We'll see what happens," he conveyed the words of the American president.
On March 8, the Council of Experts appointed Mojtaba Khamenei as the new supreme leader of Iran. He was elected to this position by a unanimous decision of the Council and became the third supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
