The Yelka, Russia's newest system for intercepting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), can operate even in the absence of communication, which makes it invulnerable to the effects of enemy electronic warfare (EW). This was announced on March 9 by the UAV operator with the call sign Esaul.

"The Yelka interceptor is unique in that it is not affected by electronic warfare. Thanks to AI (artificial intelligence. — Ed.) and the lack of communication, it can hit targets even in areas where the enemy is actively using electronic warfare. This product is used to protect civilian and military infrastructure in the border areas, as well as in the free zone. The Christmas tree is produced by Moscow enterprises with full assembly localization," TASS quoted him as saying.
