Putin signed a law on mandatory genomic registration of the military

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law establishing mandatory state genomic registration for certain categories of individuals. The relevant document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information on March 8.

According to the law, this measure will be followed by military personnel, as well as employees of internal affairs bodies who are sent to participate in combat operations, counter-terrorism and peacekeeping operations. In addition, the new rule concerns participants in a special military operation (SVO).
