Iran has declared the country's readiness for an invasion by the United States and Israel

The Iranian authorities control the country's borders and are ready for a possible invasion by US and Israeli forces. This was announced on March 8 by the head of the Information Council of the Government of Iran, Elyas Hazrati.

"We control the borders of the country and are ready for a [ground] invasion by American and Israeli forces," RIA Novosti quoted Hazrati as saying.

He stressed that Iran was preparing for war and expecting it. According to him, the government also foresaw the possible entry of separatist Kurdish groups into the conflict.

According to experts, a full-fledged invasion will require at least 500,000 soldiers.

On the same day, the representative of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran (IRGC), Ali Mohammad Naini, said that Iran is capable of conducting intense hostilities for at least six months. He noted that Iran has many missiles in its arsenal, including heavy, ballistic and cruise missiles.
