The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to the energy collapse in Europe due to the crisis in the Middle East.

The beginning of the military operation in the Middle East has led to the risks of energy collapse for the countries of Western and Central Europe. This was announced on March 7 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"It seems to me that the most relevant question is no longer even in the context of the situation around Ukraine, but in the context of the collapse that is covering the countries of Western and Central Europe in connection with the crisis in the Middle East. Energy prices have skyrocketed, both for gas and oil," she told RIA Novosti.
