The florist named the main fear of men before March 8
Anna Kotelnikova, a florist at the flower studio chain, said that before March 8, men are more likely to worry not about the price of a bouquet, but about the fact that it may seem too formal or not meaningful enough as a gift.
In conversation with Lenta.Ru On Friday, March 6, the expert said that men often take a long time to choose flowers: they stand at the window, compare bouquets, clarify the meaning of the shades, because they want the gift not to look random. At the same time, she says, they are afraid to overdo it — too ornate a bouquet can confuse the recipient, so many choose more versatile options, such as tulips or roses in pastel shades.
The florist noted that men often worry about the volume of the bouquet, so on March 8 there is a "gigantomania" effect, when instead of a neat composition they give large armfuls of tulips or baskets of roses.
She also added that the scale of congratulations also creates complexity: flowers are bought not only for the beloved, but also for the mother, grandmother, daughter and colleagues. Because of this, men worry not to confuse the nature of the bouquet — for example, not to give their mother too passionate red roses or their wife too neutral a composition.
On the same day, the president of the Association of Russian Florists, Valentina Safronova, in an interview with Moscow 24, advised putting bouquets in sparkling water so that the flowers would last longer. She noted that roses are especially popular on March 8. When choosing them, the expert advises paying attention to the perianth: if the green petals fit snugly to the bud, the flower is fresh, and if they bend down, the rose will soon fade, notes 360.ru
On March 4, Safronova told how to prolong the life of flowers in a vase. The florist noted that after the purchase, the stems should be cut at an angle of about 45 degrees, preferably with a knife, and put the flowers in a clean vase with fresh water, changing it regularly and updating the cut.
The press service of the Moscow Department of Transport reported that on March 8, women will be given flowers and postcards in Moscow transport, the Moscow city News agency reports.
