The only acceptable outcome of the conflict with Iran is the unconditional surrender of the republic. This was announced on March 6 by US President Donald Trump.

"There will be no deal with Iran except unconditional surrender," he wrote on the Truth Social network.

Trump also noted that after the surrender and the election of "great and acceptable leadership," the United States, together with its allies, intends to work to rebuild Iran in order to make it economically stronger than before. According to him, the country has the potential for a great future.

Earlier in the day, Iranian leader Masoud Peseshkian announced that a number of countries had begun mediation efforts to resolve the conflict in Iran. He stressed that Iran strives for lasting peace in the region, but at the same time "without hesitation" defends its dignity and sovereignty.

The day before, Trump said that the United States does not want Iran to be led by a leader like the assassinated supreme leader Ali Khamenei. According to him, Washington intends to make sure that the new head of state will be reasonable towards the United States.

On March 5, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu noted that Russia is in constant contact with Iran and the Gulf states, and is ready to play an active role in the peace process.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the country needs to provide assistance and support to Iran. In addition, he expressed regret and called the state "close friends."
