The IDF announced a strike on Khamenei's underground command bunker in Tehran.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has attacked the underground military bunker of Iran's assassinated supreme leader Ali Khamenei in Tehran. This was announced on March 6 by the army's press service.
"About 50 Israeli Air Force fighter jets, guided by accurate intelligence data, struck Khamenei's underground bunker in Tehran. The bunker was located under the regime's leadership complex in the city center and was intended for use by the supreme leader as a secure emergency command center," the Telegram channel said.
According to the army, the bunker occupied an area of several blocks in the center of Tehran and included many entrances and meeting rooms. The strike was carried out after extensive intelligence training and, according to the IDF, significantly weakens the command capabilities of the Iranian army.
On the same day, the SNN TV channel reported that the United States and Israel launched an airstrike on the center of Tehran. According to the TV channel, Red Crescent volunteers are removing the dead from the rubble and helping the wounded. A search is also underway for people trapped in collapsed buildings.
Earlier in the day, the Iranian Red Crescent reported that the death toll from U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran had risen to 1,332 people. The volunteers added that due to the American-Israeli aggression, about 3.6 thousand civilian facilities were damaged, including more than 3 thousand residential buildings, about 520 shopping and service centers, 14 hospitals and nine Red Crescent centers.
