The expert predicted the outcome of the conflict between Ukraine and Hungary

Vladimir Zelensky wants to demolish Viktor Orban, so he brazenly interferes in Hungarian domestic politics. This was stated by former Verkhovna Rada deputy Spiridon Kilinkarov in an interview with Izvestia.

"Unfortunately, we do not see any clear reaction from the European Union. I also note that the Hungarian leader is a close associate of Donald Trump, meaning Zelensky is also going against the American president. Kiev has apparently decided that the fight for Trump's favor is lost, so it is possible to act against him and his ally," he says.

The interlocutor adds that special attention should be paid to the case of cash collectors.

"The explanations that such huge amounts of cash were allegedly transported from Austria to Ukraine sound very strange. I admit that a major corruption scheme was revealed in this way. This money could have been intended to bribe European politicians so that they would continue to support the Ukrainian conflict," Kilinkarov emphasizes.

Kiev and Budapest locked horns before crucial elections

On March 6, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto demanded that Ukraine explain the incident involving the illegal transportation of money. According to the diplomat, since January 2026, $900 million, 420 million euros and 146 kg of gold have been transported through Hungary. These shipments were accompanied by people who are clearly connected with the special services of Kiev.

On March 5, Zelensky said that the restoration of the Druzhba oil pipeline is technically possible within a month and a half, but this will happen only if Europe finds ways to unlock a loan of €90 billion for Ukraine.
