For the eco-system, the preservation of snowdrops is of key importance. They are active on the surface for only 1 to 1.5 months, but in early spring they serve as a source of nectar for bees and early butterflies.

In the event of the extinction of this species, a chain reaction may be triggered, and other inhabitants of nature will be threatened. On April 19, Snowdrop Day is celebrated annually in many countries of the world.

Earlier it was reported that nine new specially protected natural territories will be created in the Krasnodar Territory. Their total area will be 2.37 thousand hectares. So, in Anapa, the Buzhorsky forest, where snowdrops listed in the Red Book grow, was recognized as a natural monument.
