- It became known about the fear of Russians to lose their clarity of mind and memory in old age
Most of all, Russians are afraid of losing their mental clarity, losing their memory and independence. This was announced by the MD medical technology company as part of the study on March 6.
According to statistics provided by the company to Gazeta.<url>", 37% of Russians in old age are afraid of losing their mental clarity and memory. 30% of respondents worry about the appearance of chronic diseases, and another 16% worry about changes in appearance in old age.
At the same time, almost 24% of Russians do not know where to go to check their cognitive functions.
"The fact that almost a quarter of Russians do not know which doctor to consult for the first signs of cognitive decline is alarming. To improve the quality of life both in old age and in the presence of concomitant diseases, proactive work and care for the psycho—emotional and mental state of the population are necessary," said Magomed-Amin Idilov, founder and CEO of MD.
On March 5, leading Russian grocery retailer X5 reported that about 30% of Russians adhere to dietary restrictions and more often choose lighter alternatives to traditional fast food. According to the company, the diets of those who follow special diets and those who do not follow diets differ by 36%.
