Brucellosis quarantine introduced in Stavropol region

Quarantine for brucellosis was introduced on the territory of the Alexander district in the Stavropol Territory on March 4. The order is posted on the official legal information portal of the region.

A dangerous disease was detected in cattle on a cattle farm in the village of Kalinovskoye, writes IA StavropolMedia.

The epizootic focus is the territory of the farm itself. Quarantine restrictions apply within a radius of 3 km from the boundaries of the outbreak.

As explained in the regional veterinary department, the measures will be in effect until they are canceled, until the outbreak of the disease is eliminated.

Brucellosis in cattle is a dangerous infectious disease that affects the reproductive system and causes mass abortions. Animals become chronic carriers, treatment is ineffective, so sick individuals are destroyed.
