A letter proposing to increase the paid sick leave for child care from 60 to 90 calendar days per year was sent to Sergey Chirkov, Chairman of the Social Fund of the Russian Federation, by Yana Lantratova, Head of the State Duma Committee on the Development of Civil Society, Public and Religious Associations. This became known on March 4.

"It seems advisable to amend the legislation by increasing the paid sick leave limit to 90 calendar days per year, and if a child is under 5 years old, to 120 days for special illnesses," TASS reports.
