In the Angara region, a passenger car driver was killed in a collision with a bus

In the Usolsky district of the Irkutsk region, an elderly motorist died as a result of a collision between a crossover and a bus. This is reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

The accident occurred on Wednesday, March 4, on the viaduct of the 1819th km of the regional highway Usolye-Sibirskoye – Angarsk, near the village of Zheleznodorozhny. A Toyota RAV4 car drove into oncoming traffic and crashed into a regular bus "PAZ".

As a result of the head-on collision, the 69-year-old crossover driver suffered various injuries, from which he died on the spot before the ambulance arrived. There were 16 people in the bus at the time of the accident, including the driver, according to preliminary information, there were no casualties among them.

The police are conducting a check on the fatal accident, IrkutskMedia news agency clarifies. All circumstances are being established.

On the same day, a fatal accident occurred in another region of Siberia. On the 7th km of the Krasnoyarsk bypass, a 67-year-old Toyota Corolla Spacio driver drove into the oncoming lane, where she crashed into a DAF truck. The woman died.
