Domestic cars fell in price in February

By the end of the final month of winter, the average cost of a new car from a Russian manufacturer dropped to 1.99 million rubles. Izvestia was told about this in Avto.<url> Business" on March 5.

In February, the average cost of a new domestic car decreased by 2%. At the same time, the average price of the new model, officially presented on the market of Chinese brands, has not changed and amounted to 3.94 million rubles. Compared to the beginning of the year, the supply of Russian brands increased by 7%, and Chinese brands — by 1%.

The average cost in February decreased most noticeably for Lada Aura (-4%; 2.44 million rubles), Zeekr 9X (-3%; 13.11 million rubles) and Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max (-3%; 2.96 million rubles).

A decrease in the average cost of a new car was recorded in more than 10 regions. The Saratov region again became the leader in this indicator in February (-10%; 3.03 million rubles). This is followed by the Voronezh Region (-6%; 2.9 million rubles) and the Nizhny Novgorod Region (-5%; 2.49 million rubles).

The maximum increase in the average cost was recorded in the Tver region — by 5.3%, to 2.26 million rubles. It is followed by Krasnodar Territory (4.6%; 2.77 million rubles) and Yaroslavl Region (3.5%; 1.87 million rubles).

On March 2, it became known that in the Russian Federation, they began to rename car configurations due to the entry into force of a law that prohibits the use of foreign names. The changes appeared on the official websites of all automakers. If the brand names are usually patented, then the complete sets are rewritten in Russian. The basic version of the Lada Iskra is no longer called Comfort, but "Comfort", the top—end version is "Techno" instead of Techno.
