Bolshunov commented on the non-admission of Russian skiers to the 2026 Olympics
On March 4, three-time Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov spoke in detail for the first time on the Russia 24 channel about the non-admission of Russian skiers to the 2026 Olympic Games in a neutral status.
According to him, the Olympics became the main "transit route", and all important issues were postponed until it. The athlete suggested that international officials did not want to solve the problem before the Games.
The skier came to the conclusion that in any case, FIS and other international structures would have made every effort to prevent him from participating in the Olympics. According to the athlete, the reason is obvious — Norwegian Johannes Klebo should have won all six races and set a record.
"No one wins, but the record had to be set. Take six out of six," said the skier.
Bolshunov said on March 3 that he had received offers to change his sports citizenship in order to participate in the XXIII Winter Olympic Games in 2026, but refused them. According to him, there are things more important than profitable offers.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
