On March 4, Russian hockey players Alexander Ovechkin and Mikhail Sergachev decided not to engage in a mass brawl after the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season match between Washington and Utah.

After the final siren, a scuffle broke out near the Utah gate involving several players from both teams. The judges tried to separate the fighters, but Ovechkin and Sergachev, despite what was happening, remained on the sidelines, communicating with each other.

The Washington Capitals hockey players were defeated by the Utah Mammoth in an NHL match on March 4. The score of the game was 3:2. It was noted that the Russian striker of the Washington club Ovechkin stayed on the court for 18 minutes, made four shots at the goal, used three power techniques, but did not score points.
