- A captured Ukrainian Armed Forces militant told about the order for the wounded to hold their positions
The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) forbade the militants to retreat from their positions, despite the fact that they were wounded. On March 4, a captured soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Kostyukh, told about this.
"They said: sit and wait for instructions, just keep your head down, sit under the floor. They reported to the command in order to "roll back." We were told to stay in position. All were "three hundredths" (wounded. — Ed.), everyone had to sit in position," he said in a video posted by the Russian Defense Ministry.
Kostyukh stated that he was forcibly mobilized by employees of the territorial recruitment center on his way to work. According to him, he did not want to fight, but wanted to stay home with his wife and children.
"What a stormtrooper I am, 47," he said.
He also accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the leadership of the Kiev regime of wanting to prolong the conflict and corruption.
Timur Krayev, a prisoner of war of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said on February 20 that employees of the Shopping mall forcibly take residents of Ukraine to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from where they are sent "to slaughter." According to the prisoner, among the forced were people with obvious physical ailments, including epilepsy.
