German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on March 3 during a visit to Washington that the Europeans would not accept an agreement on Ukraine that would be concluded without their participation.
"We want to come to solutions here, but solutions that involve the Europeans. We are not ready to accept an agreement that will be concluded behind our backs," he said.
