- The IDF announced the elimination of the commander of the Lebanese Corps of the IRGC unit
Ali Zadeh, commander of the Lebanese wing of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has been eliminated in Tehran. This was announced on March 3 by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in its Telegram channel.
They noted that the country's Air Force, acting on the instructions of IDF intelligence, struck and eliminated the interim commander of the Lebanese IRGC corps, Daoud Ali Zadeh, in Tehran. He was a temporary replacement for Hassan Mahdawi, the former commander of the Lebanese IRGC corps, who was previously eliminated as a result of an IDF strike.
"Ali Zadeh, who held the equivalent of a brigadier general, was the highest-ranking Iranian commander in charge of Lebanon," the army said in a statement.
During a strike on Beirut on March 3, the Israeli army eliminated a high-ranking representative of the Quds Force (a special unit of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps), who was responsible for strengthening the military potential of the Hezbollah movement. According to the army, the target of the attack on Monday, March 2, was Reza Khazai.
On the same day, the IDF occupied several control positions on the Lebanese side of the border. The army explained that they are working to create an additional level of security for residents of Northern Israel. Targeted attacks are being carried out on Hezbollah's infrastructure to eliminate threats and prevent attempts to enter Israeli territory.
