The UK proposed to introduce a complete confiscation of property for corrupt officials

The punishment for corruption crimes should be the confiscation of all property of convicted persons. This initiative was made on March 3 by the head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin.

"The time has come to introduce full confiscation of all acquired property as a criminal punishment for corrupt officials.Such a measure has long been expected by society and will provide significant revenues to the treasury," he said.

According to the head of the Investigative Committee, over the past two years, the agency has initiated criminal prosecution of 36 judges involved in corruption crimes.
