The court recovered 142 million rubles from the agricultural enterprise for damage to the Don and Voronezh rivers

In the Lipetsk region, agricultural enterprises recovered 142.3 million rubles for damage caused to the Don and Voronezh rivers as a result of illegal water intake. This is reported by the regional prosecutor's office.

We are talking about LLC "Moscow on Don", which is engaged in the cultivation of cereals and oilseeds. It was established that for several months the agricultural enterprise illegally took water from the Don and Voronezh rivers, ignoring the requirements for the conservation of biological resources and their habitat.

The forensic examination estimated the damage from the lost fish productivity of water bodies at 142.3 million rubles. The court ordered the company to pay this amount, and currently the execution of the judicial act is under the control of the prosecutor's office.

The filing of the lawsuit was reported back in the summer of 2025. The Lipetsk Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office initially demanded that 172 million rubles be recovered from the company, but a forensic examination estimated the damage at a lower amount.

At the same time, it was reported that the territorial administration of Rosrybolovstvo, on the basis of a prosecutor's decision, brought the company to justice. According to Part 1 of Article 8.48 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, she was fined 100,000 rubles, and according to Part 2 of Article 8.48 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation — 50,000 rubles (these are the minimum fines provided for in these parts of the article. — Ed.).

According to GOROD48, Moscow on Don LLC has been operating in the Lipetsk region since 2006. The company is registered in the village of Kon-Kolodez, Khleven district.
