The dismantling of Russia's tallest Christmas tree has begun in Tula.

In Tula, on Monday, March 2, the dismantling of the New Year's tree on Lenin Square began. Workers arrived at the site on a lift and began to disassemble the light structure, TSN24 reports.

A festive tree with a height of 32 meters was listed in the Russian Book of Records as the tallest artificial trunk spruce. It is not specified how long it will take to disassemble the structure.

The Tula Christmas tree is equipped with a multimedia decoration with a diameter of 60 meters, a luminous garland 30 km long and several dozen lighting effects.

Earlier it was reported that work is actively continuing in Tula to improve street lighting, with plans for 2026 to install lanterns at 100 facilities.
