The XIX Winter Art Festival led by Bashmet has ended in Sochi
On March 2, the XIX Winter International Art Festival under the leadership of People's Artist of the USSR Yuri Bashmet ended in Sochi. The final program was a gala concert, conducted by the maestro himself.
"We have very pleasant inner feelings, not even a set of events or, let's say, not just a set of events, but creative results. Before we held the XIX festival, we knew very well that the easiest one for us would be the XX. In the process, we realized that this would be a very weak response from us in the creative environment, worldwide," said Dmitry Grinchenko, director of the festival.
According to the organizers, the main task of the venue is to leave a mark on the soul of every spectator so that they would like to return for vivid emotions. In 2026, this task has been completed.
The festival lasted 12 days. Every year it brings together famous performers, artists and young musicians from all over the world. In addition to concerts, the program included performances, creative schools and photo exhibitions.
On February 21, it was reported that the forum had become one of the key cultural events of the season for almost two decades, bringing together world-class musicians, actors and dancers on one platform. It was noted that most of the events were held in front of a full house. The repertoire was carefully calibrated and included the participation of leading musicians and artists who tried to adjust their schedules in order to participate in the Sochi forum.
