10 freight train cars derailed in Perm Region
In the Perm Region, 10 freight cars derailed on the Sverdlovsk Railway. This was announced on March 2 by the press service of the Sverdlovsk Railway.
"On March 1, at 23:02 Moscow time, on the Ferma – Bakharevka stage of the Perm–2 double—track electrified section of the Sverdlovsk Railway, 10 wagons derailed in the tail section of a freight train," the department said in a Telegram channel message.
It is specified that the grain wagon derailed and collided with the locomotive of a technical electric train moving along an adjacent track, which is why the latter also derailed. There are no casualties, and traffic on the site has been temporarily stopped. Recovery trains have been sent to eliminate the consequences. There may be delays in passenger trains. The circumstances of the incident are being established.
