"For the second day in a row, the United States and Israel have been conducting intensive airstrikes <...> against Iran, hitting more than 2,000 targets, while Iran is responding with strikes against Israel and the Persian Gulf countries," the article says.

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a large-scale military operation in Iran. The President of the United States, Donald Trump, called her goal "the protection of the American people."

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences over the death of the Iranian leader and condemned the assassination.
